| No doubt about it: Electrical problems have fast become the largest part of automotive
diagnosis and repair. Virtually everything on today’s cars is operated electrically. And
in most cases, simple meter readings aren’t enough to diagnose those electrical
problems. For today’s cars, most electrical diagnosis requires the use of a digital
storage oscilloscope, or DSO. More and more technicians are finding a DSO to be
indispensable in diagnosing and repairing today’s cars and trucks.
Chances are, more of your classes involve examining and analyzing the waveforms created
by these scopes. And it’s only going to get worse...
That’s why we’ve decided to add a new feature to the CAAT website: a waveform
library, to provide you with a resource for your classes. These waveforms may be used for
demonstration purposes in your own personal classes, without any restriction or royalties.
To download a waveform…
…click on the link below: That will take you to the Limited Use Agreement page.
Read through the agreement; if you agree to the terms, click on the button that says
“I Agree.” That will take you into the library itself.
Then feel free to download anything you see, and use it in your classes. And remember
to stop by now and again, to see what new waveforms have been added since you were here
last.
