- Examine system operation and testing procedures for Chrysler’s
single computer SMEC system and learn common problems.
- Explain the design and service procedure changes between SMEC and
earlier computer systems.
- Introduce optical distributors, heated oxygen sensors and pintle
style idle speed controls.
- Demonstrate new procedures for clearing diagnostic trouble codes and
additional Actuator Test Mode procedures using a scan tool.
